COOGEE HOUSE

This beachside family home was suffering a lack lustre and poorly functioning kitchen and entertaining spaces. With the exterior work recently completed, the indoor/outdoor connection was key to the success of the space for the busy young family. With existing large bi-fold doors opening up onto the updated alfresco patio the new kitchen was designed with family and entertaining in mind.

The oversized central island provides seating for family and guests and is the perfect preparation bench overlooking the pool, yard and ocean views.
Changes to the existing rear window to a large bi-fold fills the room with natural light and creates the perfect pass to the outdoor dining and BBQ zone.

Traditional natural tones and elements such as brass, concrete ceaserstone and light walnut veneer add detail to a modern aesthetic in soft grey and white. The adjoining laundry was also updated with a new layout to provide more bench space and ample linen storage. The next phase planned is to update the decor for the main living spaces with a colourful modern Australian aesthetic and some key feature pieces.
